For Rose Moonfeather by lemurkat For Rose Moonfeather by lemurkat
Since I am meeting tomorrow, and she is intending to give me a piece she drew for me, a while ago, I thought it only fair I should give her something in return, since my art has improved somewhat since the trade we did two years ago. Also, her fursona is verra nifty, being a cheetah/arabian horse cross. I'm not quite sure why she's in a belly-dancer/harem costume, but I think it suits her. Any suggestions for something I can put in the background? I'm sick of the ol' white void.

I hope she likes it!

EDIT: Now with added background.

I love your inprovisation with the use of background! It looks very stylised by using a creative border for the character in this way  Your colouring is beautiful! You even made the folds in the veil look transparent!

I thought I had commented on this before and how nice it was. If not, I shall comment again! You did a very awesome job with this, and I'm sure Rose went squee happy over it!

The costume is very cool. I think adding the background brings it to life, and I like the circular approach.

That is a strange combo...but it's oddly fitting how two running sorts of animals can actually meld together so nicely. I love the blues and yellows here. Blue and yellow makes for an eye-catching picture.

I've noticed something similar about most of your pictures (this isn't a bad thing lol). It seems that you mostly draw your characters with profile, or side, views of their faces. I'd like to see you try drawing a character perhaps looking straight on, or on three-quarters view. :)

Heh, I'd hardly noticed until you pointed this out (but hey, I used to be a lot worse!). I will try and stop being lazy and put BOTH eyes in the picture. Keep watching!
