One day Murkrow was out flying when he espied some Trainers out picnicking. Laid out on a pretty tartan mat was a tasty array of bread, crackers, fruit and Murkrow's personal favourite - cheese. Quick as a flash, down he swooped, snatching it up and whisking it away. Away he took it, to his favourite roost in a nearby tree, where he alighted, preparing to devour his tasty treat.

But whom should come along but Sneasel, a wicked Pokemon if ever you saw one. She saw the Murkrow with his cheese and was seized with hunger. Drooling, she sauntered up to sit beneath the tree.

"Oh my," she purred in her most pleasing of tones, "I was just wandering by when what should I spy? But an elegant bird, so sleek and spry."

Pleased at her flattery, Murkrow thrust out his chest and held his head high, still holding his prize tight in his beak. He rose his hat-crest and cast one eager beady red eye upon her.

"Your plumage is so black and shiny, your beady eyes so red and tiny. I'm sure your voice will match most finely."

Murkrow was so caught up and whisked away with her flattery that he opened his beak, meaning to prove to her that his voice indeed had the beauty to match his eyes and plumage. He opened his beak and warbled her a few bars of his favourite song in his coarse and raspy voice.

As he opened his beak, the wheel of cheese dropped from his grasp and tumbled down into the Sneasel's clutching claws. She gobbled it down, quick as quick can be, crumbs spraying and catching in her fur.

"Hah," she scoffed, through a mouthful of creamy dairy products. "You're naught but a mangy, stupid bird and that will be my final word." And with that she darted away, tails flashing.

Murkrow swooped after her, furiously stabbing and biting at her backside but his only reward for his efforts was a manky red tail feather. And that didn't taste too good at all.
